El Cuaderno de Pierre
THOUGH STORIES, MOBILE TECHNOLOGY AND GEOCACHING, RELIVE UNIQUE EXPERIENCES: THE NATURAL SPACES OF THE PYRENEES…
In the mid-19th century, a peaceful new regiment of spirited visitors occupied the Pyrenees: scientist hikers. They went armed with backpacks and binoculars, compasses and field notebooks to record their observations and findings.
The fictional character Pierre Hommecheville represents the essence of these people and their passion for discovery. His lost field notebook invites us to explore lands, follow trails and find treasures inside the natural parks of the Pyrenees. If you’re lucky, you just might find some treasure, and at least it will help you to learn about and enjoy landscapes and fascinating ways to experience the mountains.
El Cuaderno de Pierre is a cross-border cooperation project jointly undertaken by the parks of the ‘Pyrenées Catalanes’ in France and ‘Cadí-Moixeró’ in Spain to highlight the tourist value of five enclaves in individual parks. Based on the creation of a character and a storyline, the project includes touring dynamics and an interactive game in the area that uses a mobile application and website.
