EL MET DE RIBES

An interactive route that takes you on a discovery of the fluvial heritage of Ribes de Freser, based on the legend of El Met de Ribes.

Along with “El Met de Ribes”, a comprehensive communication project has been developed based on the popular expression “Anar fent, com el Met de Ribes” (“Keep Going, like the Met de Ribes) and the well-known character of the municipality. The project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and is available in four languages.

A family tourist attraction based on storytelling, gamification and transmedia, with three levels of interaction: (1) 12 figures from El Met are scattered around the municipality, to boost tourist attractions and local commerce, (2) a playful discovery game with an interactive gymkhana that can be accessed through a link to the www.metderibes.cat web app and a map that is available at the tourist offices and (3) an offer of educative exploration, where interest in the environment and the fluvial world of Ribes de Freser is awakened in a fresh and fun way.
